Maerton Mayfly has a wonderful temperament and is full of character, as a yearling she was shown at the Royal welsh and was placed 10th in a strong yearling filly class, her only time shown that year.
she is very similar in type to her sire, who is a prolific winner both in hand and under saddle, and who is siring some very useful and successful section C ponies at the highest level.
Maerton Mayfly is now backed and ridden at home, she is still competing in hand, and will make her showring debut under saddle ridden by Jess.

2006/2007/2008 are some years off from breeding for poppy.
She attended her first ever show in May 2006 in hand and was placed 1st in hand in
her home produced class and qualified for the NPS championships at Malvern in August.
